What makes a student visa different from a tourist visa?
A tourist visa is for those who wish to visit Canada but do not plan to work or study there. A student visa is required for those who want to study in Canada.

Most nations, with the exception of Taiwan, South Korea, and the United States, need a visa to enter Japan. To apply for a visa to Canada, you must first create an online account with the Canadian Visa Application Centre. After establishing your account, you must submit your full name, birthday, passport number, and other relevant information. You’ll also need to upload a photo of yourself and answer a few questions about your vacation schedule. Last but not least, the application fee must be paid.
If you are visiting Canada on a tourist visa, you do not need a previous visa. If you are travelling for work or education, you must apply for a temporary residency visa. If necessary, an immigration lawyer should be engaged since the temporary resident visa application process might be difficult.

Japan: Japanese residents do not need a visa to visit Canada for tourist as long as they have a valid passport and onward tickets.
If you are visiting Canada for business, you must get a Business Travel Document (BVD) from the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in Japan. You will be allowed to work and stay in Canada for up to six months with the aid of this document without the need to apply for a work permit.
Please keep in mind that Japanese nationals are only allowed to stay for 90 days out of every 180.
Australia: Australian citizens do not need a visa to visit Canada if they have a valid passport and round-trip tickets.
